What are the other costs to be considered except boat charter?
Apart from the fees paid directly to us (boat rent, final cleaning, ) when planning your budget you need consider following costs as well:
Fuel
dependant on the motor usage, ca. 3-6 litres per hour multiplied with the price of diesel fuel which amounts cca. 1,2 € per litre and further multiplied with 3 hours of average daily motor usage (calculated on the basis of our past experience) it amounts up to 15 € daily.
Mooring fees
The price of the berth per day ranges from cca 15 € to 25 €, depending on the size of the boat.
These costs refer to all the marinas, except the base marina where you do not pay any charge for moorings
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Payable either in cash or by Bank transfer (only for boats from YCL not for rental mediatation Yachts, here is only cash possible plse see your charteragreement for this! ) In case of a boat damage or equipment loss, the amount of the caused damage is paid with the deposit money, whereas higher amounts are covered by the insurance company. If the boat is returned undamaged, the deposit will be returned to you.
Food
You are supposed to take care of your own feeding, preparing meals either on the boat or eating out. Upon check-in on the boat or prior to your arrival in the marina we suggest you buying some provisions in the supermarket.
Not to mention numerous restaurants offering delicious local and international specialities at moderate prices.
Are there secure parking place in the area of the marina?
Whole area of the marina is supervised 24 hours per day. There are parking places free of charge
What to bring with you onboard and what is provided onboard?
A water resistant jacket could be proved necessary while sailing in rough weather.
Avoid to bring valuable items such us golden necklaces, watches, earrings etc. In case that you will finally decide to have such things with you, remember to check if you have everything before you leave the yacht. Two pairs of soft boat shoes should be our recommendation. If possible, do not bring with you hard suitcases. The storing space on board is limited and such suitcases is difficult to be stored. It should be much better to use soft fabric bags. They can be easily folded and stored anywhere. You shouls also bring with you sheets, blankets, pillows, pillow cases and towels
Children on board?
Children can go sailing with you at an early age (this is said on the basis of our own experience) acutely there is no age limit, however, their stay onboard should be closely monitored by adults. We provide lifejacket for the children as well and they need wear them all the time onboard.(Plse let us know in advance how may childrenwill come with you , age their weight etc)You should also consider choosing shorter routes and visiting marinas more frequently due to a safer berthing as well as comfort.
When should the boat be returned to the marina?
Regarding your return, it is highly recommended for you to be at the base marina on the evening before around 17.00 to 19.00 p.m. and spend your last night there. Remember that the yacht must be redelivered around 11.00 am next morning clean and with full fuel and water tank. (plse also check your hire contact for exact check out times)
